Drawing a garage..

First, the ceiling height is pretty high…..an extra couple feet just to accommodate the garage door up on the ceiling.

Garages get FILLED so be generous.

My experience. Because of a flood plane issue, we could have only 1 car garage, and a carport. So I make sure the 1 car space was as large as possible…an extra 5 or 6 feet beyond the car width.,

Then I made sure we had a real machine room

Then I created a very large storage room,…,drywall ceiling and walls, finished, with good lighting, absolutely dry, with an epoxy floor. 

This storage room keeps the main house from being cluttered..priceless.
